About the awards

The North West Family Business Awards are here to champion family businesses across the North West, recognising their achievements and celebrating their successes in style!

The 2026 awards night was held on the 8th May 2026 at the Titanic Hotel and Spa, Liverpool. Co-hosting the Awards, alongside Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson was renowned food and drink broadcaster and writer, Nigel Barden. With numerous radio and TV shows under his belt, Nigel works on the Simon Mayo Drivetime Show on Greatest Hits Radio and specialises in promoting British ingredients and artisan producers, particularly in his role as chairman of judges for The Great Taste Awards and as a host at Tom Kerridge’s ‘Pub in the Park’ festivals.

If you are a family business from Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, or Merseyside then the North West Family Business Awards are for you. We look to celebrate family businesses of all shapes and sizes, from across all sectors and industries.

We always make sure we put on a show and a real performance for all those who attend our events and with these awards we make sure that everyone enjoys the night, the celebration, the entertainment and the new friends and connections that are always made.
