Leading North West Building Society, The Cumberland, Joins the North West Family Business Awards 2022
The Cumberland Building Society has joined the 2022 North West Family Business Awards as a sponsor.
The prestigious awards are a real calendar highlight for many and celebrate the best businesses, employers and employees in the North West family business sector.
Along with sponsoring the ‘Best Social Impact’ category, the hugely respected building society will also be guest-judging the finalists of their category, which includes visiting the nominees on-site as part of the process.
Founded 170 years ago by people who wanted to make a positive difference, The Cumberland has grown to become a household name in its operating area, offering a range of financial services including residential and commercial mortgages, while providing an award-winning customer experience.
Speaking about the awards, Scott McKerracher, Head of Commercial at The Cumberland says:
“We are delighted to be supporting this year’s North West Family Business Awards. At The Cumberland, we appreciate the vital role of family businesses in Cumbria, Lancashire and the surrounding areas and we’re pleased to be playing a part in making sure local businesses receive the recognition they deserve.”
Co-founder and Director of the Family Business Network, Sue Howorth said: “A big thank you to the team at The Cumberland for joining the NWFBAs for the first time. Their commitment to helping communities and championing sustainable business makes them ideally suited to judge our Best Social Impact category.”
Co-founder and Director of the Family Business Network Dave Clarkson added: “Our sponsors and judges really do make the Awards an outstanding, unique, business awards event. As we are, they feel passionately about raising the profile of family businesses, and celebrating what they achieve for their customers, their employees and the UK’s economy. With our returning host for the evening, food writer and presenter Nigel Barden, we look forward to celebrating at the iconic Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.”
